The new look PhotoCreative 365

It’s been six months since the launch of Photocreative so we thought it was time to shake things up a bit.

Since the start of the year we’ve introduced some regular features like The PhotoCreative podcast, the Business ideas for photographers podcast and of course our newest section The Sunday Showcase.

This week at Memory Gate – Google Buzz and New Albums

It has certainly been another busy week for us at Memory Gate. The 2010 Project is due to officially launch any day now (watch this space) plus we’re introducing a whole new Storybook range to our wedding and portrait clients.

Being a company that likes to stay on top of what’s new in the world of social media we’re started using Google Buzz this week. It’s a great application for photographers and we love the image display system.

I’ve posted some notes on what exactly Google Buzz is and how you might want to utilise it at PhotoCreative365 so pop over there to have a look.

While you’re there (and if you’re a Skype user) why not give me a call to have a chat, or you could just add us to your Skype contact list! It is a new feature and something we’re testing out on the PhotoCreative365 website. If it proves popular then you might see it on more of our sites.

You can follow me or just have a look at my Google Profile at http://www.google.com/profiles/Photocreative365 or if you just want to see some pictures then all images posted go straight to our Picasa Gallery (what a great feature)!

New style for Spring (cover)

As part of the launch of our new Storybook range we’ve been working on some new layout styles for spring. If you want a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to then head to my Google Profile.

Don’t forget the latest episode of The PhotoCreative Podcast should be ready for you to download from iTunes today!

The Memory Gate Monthly blog digest for February

It’s the first day of March and the sun is shinning. The cold and snow almost seem a distant memory (hopefully). February has certainly been a busy month for us at Memory Gate.

We’ve launched three brand new websites (London Wedding StorybooksLondon Pro Retouch and The Portrait Photographers) plus we’ve completely redesigned memorygate.co.uk.

Last week at the SWPP 2010 convention

For the last 6 days I’ve been attending the SWPP 2010 convention and tradeshow at Novotel London West – Hammersmith. After 2 days of business school, a full day of workshops with Doug Gordon and Mark Cleghorn, 3 days of the trade show and Masterclasses I’m pretty knackered!

Still there’s lots of ideas and products which we’ll be implementing to both Memory Gate and Redrosette in the coming weeks.

We have our PhotoCreative iPhone app ready to download for free. So far we’re nearly three weeks into the project and the content is getting better all the time. I will be continuing to post notes from the convention at PhotoCreative365. So far I’ve just about finished my notes from the business school.

Most exciting of all is that this week is Memory Gate’s 1st Birthday! We have a special treat for photographers at PhotoCreative365 which will be posted on the 21st of Jan.

This week at Memory Gate

It’s been a busy week for me but thankfully it’s mostly be spent in the warmth!

So far I have been making steady progress with my 365 projects and today I recorded at uploaded our first podcast which you can listen to by clicking the link below. Hopefully soon we’ll get it up and running on iTunes.

So far on my photo 365 project I’m 11 photos in and 4% done! Have a look at my progress by clicking the link below. Unsurprisingly there’s lots of pictures of snow!

We’re also waiting on two iPhone apps to be approved. Both will be free to download and I’ll let you know when they’re ready.

One of our shoots that didn’t get called off due to the weather was with rapper Sterling ‘Simion’ Swagga. Here’s a little preview from the shoot.

Last but not least Deborah has written her first post for What Where Who Weddings titled What is the perfect base for a perfect face?

This week we’re off to the Societies 2010 Photographic Convention so have a look PhotoCreative365.com for some daily updates.

Till next Monday!
