Visit to Queen’s Eyot

It might have been a bank holiday weekend full of wind and rain but the weather held out for us for a visit to Queen’s Eyot in Windsor on Saturday.

Queen’s Eyot is a secluded four acre island on the Thames, a few miles upstream from Windsor. The island is accessed by its own private ferry so it is a perfect and unusual venue for weddings. We’ll be photographing Jo and Ed’s wedding there in September.

This week at Memory Gate we’ve been getting ready for the wedding season. While it’s true that we have weddings throughout the year it’s the April to October months that really are our busiest time.

Bridge House Hotel Reigate – Wedding Fair

On Sunday we had a stand at the Bridge House Hotel Reigate wedding fair. Deborah our resident make-up artist also came along to give some practical demos. She is still doing a discounted rate for Memory Gate brides of all weddings in 2010. For more information email us at info@memorygate.co.uk

A big hello to everyone we spoke to on the day, include both vendors and guests.

It was a nice intimate fair with lest than 20 exhibitors. One of our favorites Cloud Nine Bridal Wear were also there and along with Dickies Men and Boys suit hire, held two fashion shows.

We’ll post some of the shots we took in the next couple of days but till then here’s a quick shot of the team.
